  • Where did the boy Tiese want to go with the missionary? The mission.

  • Why did he want to go with him? To learn about Jesus and to read the Bible.

  • Why did Tiese want to be called Dust Pan? He wanted to be a Dust Pan for Jesus and carry out the “dirt” from the lives of everyone he knew.

  • How many friends did he bring to Jesus? 5 right away and then his whole family!

  • Even though Dust Pan’s feet were covered in blisters, why did he not want to turn back on the trip to his village? He was worried his family would die without knowing Jesus.

  • Did the lion harm Dust Pan?  No!  God kept him alive so that Dust Pan could tell his family about Jesus!

3. LOVE and TELL activity: Be a Dustpan for Jesus!  This week, you have learned about speaking boldly for Christ like Paul did.  Find one way to be like Dust Pan, who wanted to sweep out the dirt and darkness of his little village in Africa with the love and light of Jesus.  Send us a video or email of what you are doing!
