Dear Jesus, 

 

Thank you for being our Lord and Savior. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for this opportunity to study and learn together through Paul's journey. Through the study of your Word, please point each one of us in the direction you want us to go. Guide us.  Give us a clear vision, so we may be a tool for your glory.

 

In Jesus precious name,

ACTIVITY THREE

Daily 1-2-3

  1. Watch Lesson Video, "Calling and Vision".

  2. Discuss the following questions: 

    • What were Paul and Barnabas doing when God called them to become missionaries?  Praying and fasting

    • Where did Paul and Barnabas go first on their journey? Island of Cyprus, city of Salamis

    • Why was Elymas (Bar-Jesus) standing in the way of Paul and Barnabas? He was a false prophet and sorcerer who opposed Paul, he opposed the truth of Jesus. 

    • Why do you think God allowed Elymas to go blind? So that Sergius Paulus would put his faith in Jesus.

    • What do you think might be God's calling and vision for your life?

  3. Try discussion lesson questions while using one of the two coloring pages.

ACTIVITY FOUR

Daily 1-2-3

1.  Read Acts 13:1-12 together. 

2.  Check out video, "Paul and Barnabas Became Missionaries" by CFBC Kids Ministry. 

3. Mrs. Flint and Elizabeth will help you learn or review Matthew 28:19-20. Our PARENT'S ONLY Page can also be viewed for extra talking points. 

ACTIVITY FIVE

Daily 1-2-3

  1. Missionary Stories Re-aloud. Video.

  2. Question to go along with missionary story:

  • Where did Ida Scudder live? America

  • Where did Ida’s parents live and work as missionaries? India

  • Why did Ida not want to live in India? It was dirty and smelly.

  • Why did Ida have to go to India? Her mother was sick.

  • What happened to Ida while she was staying in India? Men kept knocking on her door asking for help for their sick wives.

  • Why didn’t the men want Ida’s father to come help their wives? Their religion forbid women being seen by a man that wasn’t family.

  • What happened to the three sick women? They all died.

  • What did Ida decide she must do? Obey God’s call and serve in India.

3. LOVE and TELL activity: One way, we can show others God’s love is by sending them cards of encouragement.  We would love to share with you the names and addresses of some people who we know would enjoy receiving cards, pictures or notes telling them that your family is praying for and thinking about them.  Please email Missy at mama-moose@outlook.com to receive a name and address.
